Today, I will introduce the four communication modes of smart home system: bus, wireless, power carrier and Ethernet.

I. Intelligent home system based on bus communication

This smart home system uses RS485/CAN/FT and other communication technology, this kind of smart home system anti-interference ability is strong, has the advantage of stability.
However, its disadvantages are also obvious, node communication needs dedicated communication lines, installation and debugging costs are high.

Second, intelligent home system based on wireless communication

1, with 315M/433M RF wireless communication technology:

This kind of wireless communication technology is simple, low cost, is point to point communication.
Due to its low technology threshold and low power consumption, it is used more as an early smart home kit, and easy interference becomes a major limiting factor.

2. Wireless communication technology based on ZigBee/Zwave;

This wireless communication technology has the characteristics of strengthening the ability of ad-hoc network, multi-node, using multi-channel communication, anti-interference ability and relay ability. Compared with RF technology, it has the ability of two-way communication and can feedback the product status in the client, which is gradually sought after by the smart home industry.

3. Intelligent home system based on power communication

The nodes of the smart home system based on power communication use the original power lines to communicate with each other. The original wires are used as the communication medium, and there is no need to use a dedicated communication bus like the bus.
Divided into two categories by technology type:

1. X10 power line communication technology:

It is a kind of power line communication technology that modulates the signal at the zero crossing of alternating current. The signal modulation at the zero crossing can reduce the signal interference, but the disadvantage is that the communication efficiency is too low, which can not adapt to the needs of more and more complex intelligent home system.

2, PLC power line communication technology:

It is a kind of technology of carrier modulation on power line. It adopts narrowband technology with digital signal processing technology, double carrier frequency technology and forward error correction technology.

Four, Ethernet communication smart home system

The technology communicates directly with smartphones through WiFi, making it easy to use.
The disadvantage is easy to drop the phenomenon, in the smart home system application scope is small, more used in the smart home single product.
